GIVEAWAY - Pay It Forward

So last May I was lucky enough to win a Pay It Forward from Molli Sparkles.  Part of the bargain was that I would host my own Pay It Forward and send something fabulous to three lovely readers within six months of receiving my prize from Molli Sparkles. Here is what I received in the post back in October ....

Beautiful.  And you know what, when I saw those cushions make their debut on Molli's blog I thought "oooh, I hope I get something like that as my Pay It Forward prize" - lucky, no?  Not only did I get two cushion covers and some washi tape but also a half yard of Floressence by Art Gallery Fabrics. 

Now it is my turn to repay the kindness - please leave a comment here if you'd like to go in the draw to be one of 3 people to receive something lovely from me, the catch is that the winners need to then hold their own Pay It Forward within 6 months of receiving my gift.  The giveaway will stay open until Sunday, 18 January 2015 (NZ time), I will then randomly choose three winners (assuming more than three people enter the giveaway).

Sunday Stash: There were tears (and a GIVEAWAY)

Welcome Glitterati!

I'm so honoured to be hosting Sunday Stash for Ms Sparkles this week.  I've decorated the blog header especially for it - what do you think? 

This week I'm sharing my stash of Charley Harper from Birch.  When this arrived in the post, there were tears - I had hayfever at the time and my eyes were streaming but, you know, it could just as well have been because of the fabric too, it's so beautiful.  I have cut into this already and am part way making through a quilt for Pepper-Mae (my youngest).

Most of my Charley Harper stash came from the lovely Lela at Cedar House Fabrics, have you browsed through Lela's fabric lately?  Some lucky person will be able to buy some of that beautiful organic fabric for themselves soon!  As part of my Sunday Stash hostess duties I'm having a giveaway - everyone who leaves a comment here will go in the draw to win a $20 Cedar House Fabrics gift certificate.

I'm launching a new series here on the blog, inspired by Crazy Mom Quilts' 101 Scraps project, which I'm calling ... Scraps 101.  I'm setting myself a challenge to make 101 things using scraps and I want to keep you entertained and maybe even inspired along the way.  There'll be some giveaways (starting with this one), some guest posts, a linky party and lots of scrappy goodness. There will be something for everyone: ideas you haven't seen, ideas you probably have seen, some quirky projects, some ugly projects, some pretty projects.  There might even be ... a quilt.  Gasp!  I know, I know, a quilt made with scraps?  How do I come up with these ideas?

This is my first project which I'll share with you on Monday.  In the meantime, why not take a guess at what it is?  Here's a clue:  It is useful around the home, I've made one before and I have blogged about it sometime since June this year.

I am busy getting ready for the Fugly Fabric Party, I've been organising my stash so I can see what is surplus to requirements and where my gaps are - I'm hoping to arrange a swap (or two, or three).  The fabric I'm offering isn't necessarily ugly, it's just surplus to requirements.  Did you know that not only is it about fabric, but there will also be a link party for unwanted WIPs (hosted by quokkaquilts).

Last little detail about Pepper-Mae's Kokeshi party ...

I ordered some kokeshi fabric from Spoonflower, along with coordinating cherry blossom fabric and made a cute party dress for the birthday girl.
